What I need....

Rain falls as tears from the sky this day. The angels are crying over the way Mother Earth's children no longer live in harmony. In fact it is almost impossible to live in harmony with the rhythm of nature anymore as life is spinning faster and faster and we are supposed to just keep up with things, not ask questions.

But I do have questions. And I want answers! Who say that world leaders and corporate leaders are wiser, and knows better, what will lead to balance, in economy, climate change, susrvival? I say that thay obviously don't know anything but how to make more an more money (that isn't put to work for the good of all).
Who say that it is better to produce more and more and push and push for more advanced techology all the time? I don't! Sure, I couldn't share my thoughts with you here if it weren't for this computer but I don't need a new, faster, more advanced computer in six months to continue to share, do I?  And I don't need a 3D TV to be able to enjoy the programs I like to watch. I don't need a newer, more advanced fridge and freezer to keep my food longer and longer. What I do need is a house to shelter me from the cold and wet weathers, food that are free from chemicals, clothes to cover my body, clean fresh water and air, That's what I need. The rest is what I may want and wish for, but I don't need it.

First snow...

There is snow in the air today, a clear sign that Mother Earth is preparing for the long winter sleep. Many see the snow only as problem nature has brought upon us, they don't see the good in this nature's way of blanketing the earth, sheltering plants and small animals to keep them from freezing. I love all seasons, the cold white winter as well as the warm sunny summer, and I try my best to live in harmony with the rhythm of nature. Some see people like myself as a threat to the "modern lifestyle", but what is so good about not listening to the rhythm of nature? We can turn night into day with hte help of electric light... We can eat summer berries and food in the midst of winter... But does it make us happier? Or healthier?

I don't say that we should go back in time and stop using modern technology. I know in my heart that the path to our survival is to combine the modern high tech with the old wisdom. I couldn't write this if it wasn't for this computer - but I still prefer the slower more thoughtful way of living my life. We need modern medicine - but the result can be very much improved by the help of ancient methods as Reiki, qigong, herbs and so on. We don't have to rule one out. The path is ot combine all of the wisdom and let it work hand-in-hand.

Therefor I let Mother Nature take the lead in this, and let winter become my resting time as well, a time for gathering energy and strength and prepare for the time when the light and warmth returnes and we as well as nature can start growing again.

What am I doing here?

Who am I?
What am I?
Why have I come here?

I am Ladyhawk WhiteEagle.
I am woman. I am one of Mother Earth's and Father Sky's many children.
I have come here to live in harmony and respect with Mother Earth and all living things who share my space upon her.

The rocks, plants, trees, insects, birds, animals, they are all my brothers and sisters, and I need to treat them with the same respect that I wish to be shown. I don't own this land, or water, or air. I am just here to help protect this land, and water, and air, so that my children and grandchildren, and their children, will have a safe home here for generations after I am gone.

I am here to teach you to treat or planet, our Mother, with respect, to show you that there is a way to live in harmony with all living things around us. I came to share my vision of a world where we all can live in respect and harmony. We all have something to give to this world, we all have some talant that makes us important to this world's survival.
So let's sit down by the fire and share what knowledge we have to share, and together we will make a difference.

Being a witch

What is is like to be a witch? I guess the answer to that question is different from witch to witch. As a green witch I try my best to feel and show respect for and live in harmony with Mother Earth and all our relations. Being a green witch, for me, means freedom to follow the path I feel is right and to show my repsect for Mother Earth and Spirit in ways that feels right for me. It also means that I prefer to use objects from nature as well as work with the energies and spirits of nature.

Do I celebrate the Sabbats? Not like it's spelled out in many a book on witchcraft. I try to go out in nature and say a blessing for our Mother and all living things upon her, sometimes I make it a picknick with my daughter and then we "set a table" for the fairies, alves, and other spirits of nature and share our treats with them. It may be childish in some people's eyes, but to me it is how I celebrate.

To be quite frank, I don't think it is terrorists that is the biggest threat to humanity - the biggest threat comes from ourselves. We have let technology become our God, and we have let it brainwash us into zombies who do not think for ourselves anylonger. The High Priests of today are policians and other leaders who preach that money and material things are more important than our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. They tell us that to maintain this world we have created, and anything but this world is dangerous and forbidden, we have to make sacrifieses, sometimes even human.

As a green witch I stand opposed to this belif system. Mother Earth, our planet, is our home, the only home we have, and we owe it to ourselves to do everything we can to keep her healthy and safe. So instead of trying to rule over nature, we have to work and live in harmony with her. If not, we will be the terrorists that cause the end of humanity.

The Way of the Green Witch

This is one of my favorite books right now. I recommend everyone who still believe that witchcraft is evil to read it and to learn what green witchcraft is really about....

Fairies, elves, gnomes, and other nature spirits...

Do I believe in fairies and other nature spirits? Yes I do! Just because most people no longer can see these spirits, doesn't mean that they don't exist. I believe that there are things in nature, and in this world in large, that we can't see, but they still live here, side by side with us, to help and guard nature. As more and more people start to realize the need to respect and work with nature, not against her, I beleive that more and more of us will also start to experience these nature sprits, and maybe even see them. I also believe that every living thing, tree, plant, or animal, have its own fairy to watch over it and care for it ~ just as I believe that every human being has an angel watching over her/him.
Why is it anyway that we so much easier believe that there are angels watching over us than want to believe that there are firies watching over plants and animals? To me that only shows how far apart we've come, that we, the humans, consider ourselves better, worth more than a plant or an animal...My believe is that we are all children of Mother Earth, and as such worth equally...

Prayer of the Green Witch

Lord and Lady,
Spirits of Nature,
Elements around me,
Bless me as I move through the world today.
May I bring joy and tranquility to every life I touch.
May my actions bring only harmony to the world.
May I heal pain and sooothe anger,
May I create joy and balance as I walk my path.
Support me and guide me, spirits of Nature,
This day and all days ahead of me.
This I ask of you, as a green witch,
And thank you for your many blessings.

Wolf....

Wolf is my guide, my pathfinder, my teacher...

The Journey Begins...

As I feel I'm now standing at a crossroad in my life, I've decided to start anew with this blog too. I've always felt myself closer to the Native Americans, or our Swedish Sami people who live up north, in my views of how to live on this planet - especially the need to show respect for and live in harmony with Mother Earth and all living things upon her. Living as a Green Witch is only part of this path I've now started to walk on. Deep inside I truly believe that we must chose a different path, as human beings, to turn what is happening to our planet around and save Mother Earth. So here this journey begins... and you are all welcome to follow me as I start to explore this new path in my life.
