World problems seem to be on everyone's mind these days, and it's only natural the way things are, but shouldn't we start a little bit closer to home? Why waste energy worrying about what happen at the other sida of the planet when we can't "fix" the problems in our own backyard? No matter where we live on this planet, we've closed our eyes to what happens to our own people, our closest neighbours, famlies, for too long and we need to wake up and start asking: What can I do to help someone here?

I can understand the fear of "getting involved". I've been there too, hesitatiing, wondering, how will this effect me and my life? But somehow I've always ended up wondering: How will I feel if I don't do anything, if I don't reach out? And the answer is almost always, like a real creep. What hurt me is that the favor is hardly ever returned. Is that how we want to be, really? Just asking, demanding, but never reach out and help someone else get back up when they stumble...?
